How to Enter Indonesia during Pandemic?

Entry Rules in Response to Coronavirus

Indonesia is implementing a series of changes to admission for foreign nationals in response to developments in the Covid pandemic. While these are being rolled out, in addition to meeting the categories below, you should reconfirm your eligibility to enter Indonesia with your travel agent/airline and the Indonesian Embassy.


Here is the schema if :

YOU ARE FULLY VACCINATED

If you are fully vaccinated at least 14 (fourteen) days before departure as a requirement to enter Indonesia, then :

Before you arrived in Indonesia, you have to :

1. Present negative RT-PCR test result. The test taken within 72 hours prior to departure.

2. You are required to download and install the Peduli Lindungi app to perform the e-Hac registration. https://www.pedulilindungi.id


After you arrived in Indonesia in the allowed entry points, you have to :

1. Validation of negative RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) test certification

2. Health check

3. Take re-test of RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) . If the results are :


Negative Re-test RT-PCR

You have to quarantine 3x24 hours, Quarantine Requirements:

  • For Indonesian citizens within category of Migrant workers, Student that has finished education and Civil Servant on duty, the quarantine facilities provided by the Indonesia government and free of charge.

  • For Indonesian citizens (not on the criteria for the previous points) and foreigners in self-funded quarantine accommodation (Hotels/Inns) recommended by the COVID-19 Task Force and have met the terms and conditions of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association and the Ministry of Health.


After 3 days of quarantine you have to RT-PCR re-check, if the results are negative allowed to continue the journey. Self-quarantine for 14 days is recommended but not mandatory. If the results are positive and you have mild symptoms or without symptoms, you will replaced at centralized isolation facilities. If you have moderate and severe symptoms you will replaced at hospital. For Indonesian citizen it’s free of charge and for foreigners will bear the cost.


Positive Re-test RT-PCR

If you are have mild symptoms or without symptoms, you are replaced at centralized isolation facilities. For Indonesian citizen it’s free of charge and for foreigners will bear the cost.

After 3 days of quarantine you have to RT-PCR re-check, if the results are negative allowed to continue the journey. Self-quarantine for 14 days is recommended but not mandatory. If the results are still positive you will have to stay at centralized isolation facilities or hospitals.

FAQ

Which foreign nationals are allowed to come to Indonesia?

Answer : Bahrain, China, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Norway, France, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Spain, and Sweden.



Which entrances in Indonesia are allowed?

Answer :

Onshore : Batam Center Harbour, Tanjung Pinang Harbour, Nunukan Harbour

Offshore :

  • Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) Jakarta – Tangerang

  • Sam Ratulangi International Airport (MDC) Manado

  • I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) Denpasar - Bali (for foreigners wih tourism purpose)

  • Hang Nadim International Airport (BTH) Batam - Kepulauan Riau (for foreigners with tourism purpose)

  • Raja Haji Fiisabilillah International Airport (TNJ) Tanjung Pinang - Kepulauan Riau (for foreigners with tourism purpose with charter flights)



What are the hotel requirements for quarantine? and is there a list of these hotels?​

Answer :

For Indonesian citizens with the following criteria:

  • Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) returning to Indonesia to stay at least 14 days in Indonesia

  • Students / students who returned to Indonesia after follow education or carry out study assignments outside country

  • Government employees who returned to Indonesia after carry out official travel abroad at a cost from the country

Quarantine at Wisma Pademangan that enters through the Soekarno Hatta - Banten airport entry point whose services include lodging, transportation, meals, and RT-PCR costs.


If a Government Employee is not willing to quarantine at a location that has been determined by the National/Regional Covid-19 Handling Task Force, quarantine must be carried out at a centralized Quarantine Hotel that has been determined by the National/Regional Covid-19 Handling Task Force at independent costs or other sources of financing legitimate.


2. Meanwhile, for Indonesian citizens outside the criteria for points 1 and 2 or foreigners including foreign diplomats, outside the heads of foreign representatives and the families of the heads of foreign representatives undergoing quarantine at quarantine accommodation places recommended by the Covid-19 Task Force and having met the terms and conditions of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association and Ministry of Health with all costs borne independently.
